To start with the right foot the defense of the 2015 title league, which was won last May and to forget the suffered defeat at the tie-break in the Italian Super Cup against Modena: Diatec Trentino was able to center both goals in the recovery of the first day of the regular season of Super League UnipolSai played in Monza and won 3-1 against the husts of Gi Group. A result far from obvious, considering the problems of the formation, with which the Italian champions have had to deal in Lombardy; the generous and determined proof, however, has allowed them to bring home the three points at stake and start the adventure leading the company in Verona, Piacenza and Latina.
"To think about the absences is one thing that we must avoid because it would mean start having a loser's mentality” - said Max Colaci after the match in Monza-. “This Trentino Volley has changed a lot compared to the past but it must continue to have the same spirit and look only to those who will play on the field. Who replaced players like Djuric Urnaut played at their best: Nelli played a great game and Antonov confirmed the already outstanding performance showed last Saturday in Modena. We have a very full squad and then we can really count on the contribution of everybody, including those who maybe on the eve started between the second lines. The match on Wednesday evening in Brianza was already important, although was only during the first day: winning it, was a great way to start the season on the right foot in the Super League, because seeing the results of the other big teams, it  was already significant to earn point over some direct competitors. It will be a little booty that we can exploit later.”
"At the beginning of the match against Gi Group we were objectively stiffened and not very fluid especially in reception;” - continued the blue libero analyzing just one of the fundamental strength of the team - ”although we didn’t receive so many direct ace, we could not offer precise balls to Giannelli. Later we found more rhythm and the efficiency of our side outs has consequently gained. We were not perfect in every aspect of the game, during the break point, for example we did too many mistakes, but I think that in this first period of the season it will also be expected. Our quality level must absolutely increase, we have just to be a little patient, because for sure every week we will improve."
On Sunday, at 6.00 pm, there will be the first official match in PalaTrento against Padova, valid for the second day of the regular season. In view of the match against the Venetians, this afternoon the team has already started the workouts: unloading work for those who played the most yesterday, two hours of technique and tactics for everyone else. Between Friday and Sunday morning, however, Stoytchev will play a session of weights and three technique with a single group that will dissolve the doubts on the ability to retrieve all the regular players.
